Seaside - Oregon!

Arrived in Seaside after 2 days cloudy cold weather and 2 enormous bridges!! We're still going string despite a broken front carrier (which is why we stayed the night here near the bike shop). This is one of the nicest towns we've been to yet - we still keep arriving too late to see anything, but the kids only want to see the beaches really - so I'm getting more chilled out...
We met a budding journalist today so we may be interviewed when we get to Eureka!
Kids are complaining less - unfortunately the family we should be travelling with were too overloaded and the bike fell over damaging the mums wrist - so they drove to our campsite with sausages, wine and inflateable dingy and we had a good evening with them - we spent the previous evening with them at their perfect house (that Alan built) with humming birds flying around... it was a good time - sorry they won't be travelling with us...
Next update will probably be in about a week...the rain is due to arrive on Friday so we'll write then.
Cheers!

It's nice to keep in touch! It's like we are travelling with you a bit ( with more comfort...!)
Léa cried when you left our home the last time we met because she thought that you were leaving for too long (forever !!) and she was starting to miss you, but she forgot then!
We've been hiking in the Queyras this week-end (gorgeous scenery! we had a nice time)
Today, we 'll pick up the children at my parents' then off to the campsite in the Aveyron (hope we'll have better weather it's still a bit chilly and wet from time to time here)
We hope that the children are starting to enjoy this fabulous trip a bit more from now on: you're still lucky you don't have Léa with you complaining nonstop!!
Enjoy yourselves, see you!

Hey Horsfalls!

Wow, sounds like you have some great stories to tell and it's only the second week! The weather gets MUCH better as you travel south. You'll love the Bay Area sunshine :-)

Cheers,
